The Award

The James Duncan Geikie Memorial Scholarship was created in 2025 to honor our fraternity brother, friend, and mentor, James “Jim” Duncan Geikie (1965–2025).

Awarded annually to an active Sigma Beta member, the scholarship recognizes a brother who exemplifies Jim’s values — loyalty, brotherhood, leadership, community involvement, humility, and humor — while maintaining academic excellence and active house participation.

Award Details

Annual Award: $4,000 ($3,500 toward room & board, $500 toward social dues)
- Eligibility:
• Active member of Sigma Beta for at least 1 semester
• Living in the fraternity house during the award year
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Embodies Jim’s values and spirit
- Timing: Awarded in the Spring semester (mid-April) for the following Fall semester
